Overview
An internal AI knowledge base for DEPT teams. People connected their AI assistant to it over MCP, signed in, and could ask about project knowledge, task status and the state of the code.
Agency teams juggle many client projects at once. Knowing the state of a project meant digging through documentation, the task board and the code. The knowledge base put all three behind one question in plain language.
What I did
- An MCP server, the open standard that connects AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT to tools and data
- A sign-in step, so only logged-in team members could reach the knowledge base
- Access to project knowledge, task status and the state of the code from inside the AI assistant
Vladislav spent more than four years with us at DEPT, on sites for Diageo brands and Ireland's public sector, and grew from senior developer to solutions architect. He led a team on our Irish government projects, built an internal AI knowledge base on MCP, and always said early when something wouldn't work. Highly skilled, professional, and a great addition to any team.
